Love Because 4:19 Introduction and Dec 2020- Jan 2021 Update:

What started out as a random acts of kindness, Facebook Group, has grown into a dream of something more permanent and impacting. Caleb and I wanted to continue the ministry of walking alongside the warriors we worked with, the widows we loved and the wanderers that wandered their way to us and others. We started to dream of creating a space for community and opportunities for our tribe to blend together. A place where Warriors, Widows and Wanderers could come to serve and to be served by one another.

The long term goal is a camp where some could come for a weekend and others for much longer to get rejuvenated, empowered and prepared for the next leg in their journey. No matter their length of stay our hope is that our Love Because community will become a forever home for the heart of the Warrior, Widow and Wanderer a place to find healing, hope and encouragement. In the meantime Love Because will still be a place of random acts of kindness and an outreach to Warriors, Widows and Wanderers.

As we approach the end of Caleb's career in the Army we look forward to our plans of growing Love Because 4:19 into an outreach, a camp and a gap year program that will literally Engage the Warrior, Encourage the Widow and Empower the Wanderer. We are extending an invite to YOU, to join us on this journey. Pray with us, volunteer with us and help spread the word about our mission.

So far our December launch allowed for us to pay off our website use for the year, our new logo design and then more importantly, we were able to send out 14 Widow Christmas boxes packed with snacks, and goodies and a sweet note of encouragement during this holiday season. We also sent one Warrior a small gift during a tough holiday season and a Wanderer Christmas Box to a young pregnant mom who found herself and her 3 children homeless just before Christmas due to domestic violence. Along with the box of goodies and stockings was a gift card and came with local help to her in her area. They hand delivered the box and since have helped her furnish an apartment she was able to get just after Christmas. They have been the hands and feet for the mission of Love Because and we are so grateful for the connection and commitment from those who stepped up and in during the busy holiday season, ensuring this wanderer was not alone. We have already witnessed Love Because 4:19 bloom and grow in so many unexpected ways and we look forward to all the opportunities that lay ahead.

We shift our attention to our Valentine’s Day Outreach where we would like to send small plants and some steak dinners to our lonesome warriors, surviving widows and wandering wanderers, and then into local retreats and pop-up day camp events to serve our community while we continue to fundraise for our full camp goal.
